Program works perfectly for viewing MPO files from my Nikon camera on my Samsung TV except for one thing. The images need to be stretched 2X vertically. This can be done for JPEG files but, oddly enough, not for MPO files. Including this feature would eliminate the need to convert the MPO files to JPEG and would rate the final star.
I redeclare that this is the BEST 3D conversion and viewing app out there for both casual users and developers. Thank you, Yury, for adding the 3D Over/Under feature which helps my images show at Maximum Horizontal Resolution on my passive 3D display - which looks AWESOME! Thanks also for Batch mode, the 5 Red/Blue glasses optimization choices, the SideBySide mode and a new 4K option! What!!! And of course, it works magnificently in full screen mode on my external displays. This program is MOST HIGHLY recommended.
Just bought Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 camera with the main intention of printing my own stereo cards for use in a standard Holmes viewer. I am glad they added the “Stereo Card” output, but for the next update please add an option to have the Stereo Card be in full color and not just sepia. Because I want full color, have been using the LR pairs, but having the rounded stereo card template in full color would make this a perfect app.
My interest is in viewing pictures taken with my Fuji 3DW3 on my computer screen and in creating stereo cards for viewing with a stereoscope. This app is perfect for both, but in particular for printing stereo cards. Several different themes are offered to match different traditional styles of stereo cards, as well as customized text on the bottom of the right hand image and text or a custom logo on the sides of the card. When I had a question about inserting a custom logo, the developer answered my question promptly (drag and drop your graphic file into the display box on the app). The position of the stereo image in the left and right windows can be adjusted, as can the position of your text or logo on the sides. The stereo image can also be adjusted with sliders for sepia, hue, saturation, contrast and exposure to give an antique effect or preserve the full color of the original. Wow! The full functionality of the app can be tested for free, and the in-app purchase to remove the watermark from exported files is reasonably priced. Enthusiastic five stars!
I’ve enjoyed using this application with MPO files made with my Fuji W3. Just copy the MPO files to a folder on your Mac, open XStereo, and drag the folder from the Finder to the XStereo screen and start the slideshow. I use the Berezin Pocket 3Dvu viewer and probably sit about 34” away from the screen.
