great app, helpful for those who desire watch the best of 3d images.
when you want to buy the export feature and click the buy button nothing happens. its a good designed and simple software, but unfortunately uselss if you cant buy the feature.
Nice little program, works well and fast too. I have not yet used the video portion but for photos its easy to use. I dont know what some of the options are but Im sure they work as well. I was a little concerned at what the price might be to get a functioning version but that was a surprise also. I would like to see a manual feature to align the two photos as shooting for any 3D format hand held is a challenge. Great job, hope to see more features and improvements. Thanks XstereO Phil
The main selling point is that its free, but its missing some key features. It only opens single images where it assumes one image contains both left and right frames. It DOES NOT allow you to open image pairs -- that is, two separate images where one file contains the left image and the other contains the right image. Without that feature this app is pretty useless to me! It could also use an image browser. Opening each image one at a time is a pain. It has a "Navigate" app menu bar item with pull-down options to view next and previous, but these are nearly useless on the menu. These options should arrows or something on the viewing window. The LEFT and RIGHT keys on the keyboard do perform this feature, so its not too bad, but it would be nice to navigate with the mouse. The options to render a stereo view in different formats look good. It lets you choose from a wide variety of side-by-side, interlaced, and anaglyph. Although, it is missing other anaglyph colors besides red/cyan. Granted, I never use anything besides red/cyan... All in all, this is a free app and looks to be a good start. Id give it an extra star if it could open image pairs. Id give it another start if it could fine-tune alignment.
I just downloaded free XstereO and bought a LG D2342P monitor to view 3d stereo images from my MacBook Pro. This monitor uses horizontal interlace with passive glasses to view 3d. I needed some way to play my 3d stereo image pairs without using Bootcamp or Windows. XstereO Player does exactly what I need most--that is to display 3d side-by-side images interlaced so they can be shown without parallel or cross-eye viewing. It works perfectly, although version 1.0 only can view a single image (one L-R side-by-side pair) at a time. It can open a variety of image formats and display them in 3d using anaglyphs or interlacing. For this monitor to display full-color stereo, it interlaces one image into even horizontal lines superimposed with the other image in the odd horizontal lines. It has a check box to switch between Left/even-Right/odd or Right/even-Left/odd horizontal lines. Future versions could include new features, such as the ability to do a slide show or work with separate left and right images, for example. I give it four stars because it works well. I havent found any other similar application for Mac. Being a free download from Apple is also important. Thank you Yuri golubinsky and Apple.
I tried this app mpst because it was free but found out that it doesnt seem to understand how to use the MPO file from my FujiFilm W3 Finepix Real 3D camera. it seems to take the left half of the left image and the right half of the right image and combine them resulting in a useless anaglyph. Maybe this app should allow adjusting the alignment of the two images like my camera and other anaglyph viewers do. Tried looking into the help to see if this was possible but found that there was no help written for this app at all.
It does a great job of showing the image in a 3d viewable format… needs to be able to save the file since the file is clearly already created in order to present it on the screen in the app. If it did that and maybe allowed for editing of depth of 3d etc, then I could see myself giving it five stars.
Best App in the whole universe and its free. INSTALL IT/DOWNLOAD IT!!!!! *_*
I cant open the file...
The size of the original photo doesnt come out right.
Why wont it work?
AS A 3D PHOTOGRAPHER I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE BEST EDITOR FOR ANAGLYPHS…. THIS ONE LOOKS GREAT BUT IT DOESNT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS? CAN ANYONE SEND ME IN THE RIGHT (OR LEFT) DIRECTION...
I downloaded some MPOs created by FinePix Real 3D W3, bought 1$ red/blue glasses, and started enjoying the spectacle. Love the slideshow mode and full screen support. One thing I miss is the ability to play 3D AVIs - if you need that make sure you get the (open source) Bino.
Finally a program that will let me easily view Panasonic GH2 MPO files. Five stars for that. Hoping for side-by-side support in the future, but because this is free, I mostly want to say thanks.
I tried to open a fiel and It says I need lion. What a load of BS. Not even useable good thing its free
Should be modified to support Snow Leopard too... :(
i love what i needed
it is very good
Tried installing twice but got a "quit unexpectedly" error both times before it even opened. Im using OS 10.6.8 so it should work.
